#SixSunday #39 - Some Ancient Holiday Cheer from #NorthofNeed!

If you're looking for my Stuff Your Stockings Blog Hop Post, please scroll down one blog post! Thank you!
Happy Sunday everyone. I'm happy to share six from my contemporary fantasy romance, North of Need! Megan's just given Owen a Christmas present from a man who's been dead several millenia:
“Do you recognize it?” she asked, adrenaline in the form of pins and needles tingling over her body.

“No, well, I know the symbols. It says, ‘Without the death of winter, there is no rebirth of spring.’ It’s ancient.”

“Yes…Owen?”

He pulled his gaze from the amulet.

“It was your father’s.”
Aw! Love this sweet holiday moment between them. Hope it brings you cheer!

Please see the Other Sixers' Posts and follow the #sixsunday hashtag on Twitter! Also, at Sizzling Hot Book Reviews: North of Need won Sizzling Read of the Month for December, and so I'm offering a SnOHw Man Giveaway over there, AND the book is up for Sizzling Read of the Year, and your consideration for a vote would be much appreciated! Feel free to check both out via the above link! :)

Thanks so much for reading (and commenting)! Happy holidays!
Laura

Yes, I like the phrase too, and the moment between the characters. I'm wondering what the amulet looks like, aside from the symbols - was that in a prior six?

Thanks for taking part this week.

I missed the list deadline for this week, but I did get six sentences up! http://kelworthfiles.wordpress.com/2011/12/18/six-sentence-sunday-more-from-children/

Ooh! The plot thickens!

I have heard that quote about the death of winter before. It seems kind of poignant attached to a story of Owen the snow god.

Thanks for the share!

Very nice share. I'm curious to learn how she came to have an amulet once belonging to his father.
