I need your help! I got headshots done last week, photographed by the wonderful Renee Hollingshead of Columbia, MD, and I'm not sure which one I like best. So, I'm asking for your input. Which image should I use for all my publicity materials????

I'd have to pick #5 since you're using it for promo, though. That close up shot w/ your beautiful blue eyes really makes you stand out:)

5 and 2. I like 3, but the angle of your arm in it makes it look like a MySpace self-portrait. So that ruins it for me. You have amazing eyes!

Columbia, MD??? Calvin and I used ot live there before we moved to VA. I love #5. #6 is fabulous, too.
So unfair to make us choose! They are all so beautiful Laura. But, if I have to- #1 for the color because it lends a hint of personality. #4 for the B&W because it's just lovely.

I like #3 and #5. Don't care too much for the B&W, since your eyes are such a pretty blue in the color shots.
I actually like photo @1 best. It feels less like a standard author photo and more like YOU--which gives readers a chance to feel more of a connection to you.
I like number one. The purple, blue, and teal colors are beautiful. Also sometimes photos get cut in those little boxes on facebook, google and other author pages. Number one has enough room so your head won't get cut off.
#1, but consider cropping it closer, square and just under your hair.
